Who are The People?

If your goal is to fathom “The Will of the People”, you must first answer the question, “Who are The People?”

The two maps below show two very different things. The map above shows the electric lights at night around the world, and the one below shows the population density of the earth. It could be said that the one represents the “Rich World”, and the other points out large numbers of impoverished people- in Africa, India, China, Central and South America- people who can’t squander energy lighting up the night sky. Who are The People? The Internet reaches almost everywhere, and we’ll travel the internet to find The People. But electricity powers the Internet.

“Statistics lie, and liars use statistics.” If you want to find the truth in the statistics, you can’t just “count the votes”.
